ArabCollective | Klaviyo + Shopify Work arrangement: Remote Engagement: 3-month contract (monthly pay) through the Black Friday / Cyber Monday period, with a path to ongoing work Start date: Mid-October, as soon as possible, so campaigns, flows and SMS setup are ready before Black Friday About ArabCollective ArabCollective is a brand celebrating Arab culture through clothing, caps, accessories and kids' products. We sell internationally, with operations in Toronto and Cairo. Our customers are spread across North America, the UK and Europe, and the Gulf. We're looking for a hands-on email and SMS marketer who can turn customer insights into campaigns that sell, build automated flows, and make Klaviyo a stronger part of our Shopify business. You should be able to plan the strategy and do the work, not just schedule emails. The first big job is Q4: Black Friday, Cyber Monday and the December gifting season. You'll help get us ready for it, then keep building after. What you'll own - Review our Klaviyo setup, Shopify integration, existing campaigns, flows, segments and tracking. Turn the review into a clear priority list. - Plan and run a Q4 calendar, including the Black Friday / Cyber Monday build-up (early access list, teasers, launch, extension) and December gifting and shipping-deadline emails. Build around product launches, cultural and country moments, and offers with real deadlines. Avoid generic subjects and repeated sends to the same audience. - Write clear, on-brand subject lines, preview text and email copy, including a mix of designed emails and plain-text founder-style letters. Build campaigns in Klaviyo and work with our designers on creative. - Segment by engagement, purchase history, product interest, customer stage and country or region. Send in subscribers' local time where it makes sense. Set a sensible sending frequency and protect the list from fatigue. - Improve the welcome series and review, build or fix early access sign-up, abandoned checkout, browse abandonment, post-purchase (based on what was bought), second-purchase, birthday and win-back flows. Check triggers, timing, exclusions, offers that conflict with each other, and customer experience. - Set up and test offers and discount codes in Shopify with the team, so the offer in each email matches what customers see at checkout. - Plan an SMS launch from the ground up: number registration for the markets we start with (US and Canada first), consent-based signup in forms and checkout, compliance checks, targeting, and a small number of high-value texts and welcome and abandoned-checkout flows. SMS should complement email, not duplicate every send. - Watch deliverability and list health: authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and bulk-sender requirements from Gmail and Yahoo, Smart Sending, unsubscribes, spam complaints, suppression and inactive-contact practices. Set guardrails that pause sends when numbers go the wrong way. - Test offers, copy, creative, audiences and timing. Judge results on clicks, conversions, revenue per recipient, list growth and flow performance, not open rates alone. - Work in a draft-and-approve process: build in Klaviyo, share previews, and send nothing until it is approved. Keep clear campaign naming and a simple record of what was sent. - Coordinate with the founder and existing team so email and SMS match our launches, stock, shipping cut-off dates and brand voice. What we're looking for - Hands-on Klaviyo and Shopify experience for an e-commerce brand, covering both campaigns and automated flows. Comfortable with discount setup in Shopify and basic DNS and email authentication. - Examples of work with measurable results. Explain the starting point, what you changed and how you measured the result. - Experience planning and running Black Friday / Cyber Monday or holiday campaigns for e-commerce, ideally for an international customer base. - Strong English copywriting and a good feel for Arab culture, our audience and culturally relevant moments. Arabic copywriting is a plus, not a requirement. - Practical experience with segmentation, testing, deliverability and SMS consent requirements, or the ability to identify what needs specialist review. - Someone organized and proactive who can spot a problem, suggest a fix and follow through without needing every task spelled out. First 30 days - Confirm the baseline and present a prioritized plan with clear owners and measures of success. - Put a Q4 campaign calendar and audience strategy in place, including the Black Friday / Cyber Monday plan. - Fix or launch the highest-priority flows rather than relying on the first welcome email. - Get SMS registration and consent set up, with a launch plan and compliance checks completed before sending. - Check sender authentication and deliverability, and set sending guardrails. - Send a short weekly update: what went live, what worked, what did not and what you're testing next. How to apply Send 2-3 relevant email or flow examples, a Klaviyo case study with results, and a short explanation of what you would review first in an existing account. If you have run Black Friday / Cyber Monday campaigns, tell us what you did. Include your availability and when you could start.
