Lead Creative Strategist — Beauty & Skincare DTC

Smooche is a high 9-figure brand spending $20M/month on ads and looking to push even harder. We need an A+ creative strategist who can lead a team and come up with winning ideas on their own. Someone who lives in performance creative, studies what's moving in the market every day, and knows exactly why an ad wins. Direct response creative for beauty, skincare and makeup is the primary domain here. This is for a true creative wizard not someone who relies on swipes. What you'll own - Lead and direct a team of 4+ video editors, from brief to final cut - Generate original concepts, angles and hooks every week - Write direct response scripts and briefs that convert - Stay obsessed with the market: track which new formats, hooks and trends are moving in beauty, skincare, supplements and transformation - Build and run a structured creative testing roadmap with clear hypotheses - Read performance data (hook rate, hold rate, CTR, CPA, ROAS) and turn it into the next round of creative Who you are - A proven creative strategist who has scaled a DTC brand (ideally 8–9 figure brands, or you took a brand from ~$100K/month to $1M/month) - Deep direct response roots: you're a strong copywriter and a strategist - Experienced leading editors or a creative team, giving clear feedback that makes the work better - Data-driven: you know what every metric means for an ad and properly research ICPs Bonus points - Experience in beauty, skincare, makeup, supplements or transformation niches - A portfolio of winning ads you can walk us through, with the numbers behind them Compensation $8,000–$25,000/month + uncapped ad spend bonuses based on experience.
