With 4 years in the space now I've worked at all levels of the DTC space as well as some experience in B2B. Became obsessed with direct response copywriting a few years ago - read just about every book out there as well as hundreds of classic sales letters which I would then analyse. Learned from 1-1 from a mentor who I regard as elite in copywriting. He was the one who encouraged me to do all of the above learning. I'd estimate that he's sold possibly 9 figures now in ecom. Learning 1-1 from him daily was where a privilege and where I became accustomed to what it takes to create ads at the highest level.
